Excellent spot since its so close to Lugano, the slope conditions are always nice, during the beginning of the season expect some ice and rocks but overall it is very enjoyable for intermediate and advanced riders...

Wonderfull view on the Gotthard, Tremola and Airolo
Good funicular transit station, with access to attractive red and black skipistes and a ski-ing practice range. Also a rather huge self-service restaurant is available (with ample seating but rather bland food) and a room where you can eat your packed lunch.
Great little station. Friendly, good slopes, brilliant ski rental.
Take an Italian phrase book but apart from the usual British language problems the staff were very polite (and tolerant). Rosti was good in the restaurant!
